Most absurd ways to end "24"

Jack solves the latest crisis five episodes early, and the series concludes with four hours of split screen footage of the main cast sound asleep in bed.

Flash forward 6 years. Chloe and Renee are in CTU discussing Renee's plans for the future. Jack comes in and Renee asks if he's going to be required to give a speech at the upcoming inauguration of President-Elect Kim Bauer.

When the voice of the CTU director emanating from an intercom requests all senior staff to report to the briefing room, Agent Aaron Pierce seated at one of the computer stations orders the computer to "freeze program"........

You had me worried though. If Kim was running against Dick Cheney? It would be a tough choice!!!

In the 24-verse, Jack exposed Cheney as a terrorist long ago. ;)

In one of my goofy fan fics I acutally had Jack put in cryogenic freeze and brought back to life by Picard to help solve a 23rd century plot...

As for him outing Cheney? I never knew that!!! I hope when 24 is all over they put out a Compendium like they did for TREK...

Having just saved the world again, Jack comes home to find an intruder, played by Samuel L' Jackson in an eyepatch, in his hall. Fury, er, Jackson says he wants Jack to meet some people he might have something in common with, because 'we're putting together an outfit.' They walks into the living room and Daniel Craig and Matt Damon are sitting there.

The last piece of dialogue is Jackson saying 'Would you believe, you even have the same initials as these guys?'

In a final mindf*ck twist it is revealed that Jack Bauer was the real mastermind behind all the terrorist attacks we've been witnessed all these years. So, he's basically Keyser Soze. Cliffhanger in the penultimate episode of the show: Chloe O'Brien: "Jack's the mole... and he has been from the start!" - In the finale episode, Jack kills most of the remaining main characters, fakes his own death, and gets away clean.

Alternatively, it is revealed that Teri Bauer is alive and that she was the real mastermind behind all these terrorist attacks. In the end, Jack is forced to shoot Teri. This causes Jack to have a nervous breakdown. His subsequent conversion to Islam helps him to recover though.

Instead of Sam Jackson, you'd have to have Martin Sheen as Jed Bartlet. And Jack Burton and Jack Bristow would also be there. :p

Through a complex series of plot twists the finale ends with an ultimate showdown between Jack Bauer and Chuck Norris. The sheer awesomeness of their confrontation causes a rip to occur in the fabric of space and they are sucked into another dimension where they must engage in a never ending battle for all eternity.

I think you came up with the best ending ever... any it also explains LOST! :)

^^ which one is Jacob?

1:00 am

Zombies

Last chance for survival? Chloe O'Brien

Jack Bauer is now a Vampire with Corey Feldman at his side.

Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson) appears inside of CTU and explains to Bauer that what he has been through the past several years are just a prelude to a far greater terrorist threat. We finally are told the mastermind behind all of the previous seasons plots and that Fury has come to recruit Jack into SHIELD where he will be supplied with uber-bad ass tech and gadgets to take on the ultimate dictator president, the leader supreme of the Eastern European nation Latveria...Victor Von Doom!

Tony Almeida escapes from FBI custody and engages Jack in a climactic showdown. During the fight, Jack falls through a dimensional portal that takes him back to the day before "Day 1." He wakes up in Washington, D.C., and finds that Tony Almeida's face has replaced Abraham Lincoln's on the Lincoln Memorial!

The Bill Murray ending:

Special Agent Jack Bauer, LOve Interest of the Season (LOIS), and tech support asset Chloe from the Los Angeles counter-terrorism agency CTU travel to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to prevent the annual Groundhog Day festivities from being bombed by three rogue Middle Eastern nations whose names must never be spoken. Having grown tired of this assignment, the small town, and his job, Jack grudgingly gives his report to Division and attempts to return to Los Angeles when he mistakes Punxsutawney Phil for a mole trying to infiltrate the festivities and shoots him in the head. Jack and his team are forced to stay in town an extra day to avoid an angry lynching by the townspeople who have established an airtight perimeter around the small hamlet.

Jack wakes up to find that he is reliving the worst day of his life over again. The day plays out exactly as it did before, except in LA because Jack is homesick, and with a bizarre continuity projected from Jack's subconscious desires and opinions, like presidential whack-a-mole, LA traffic that can be bypassed during a four-minute commercial break, Jack considering all of the higher-ups at work incompetent, his need to save his daughter from wildlife, and his ex-girlfriend and daddy issues.

At first he is confused, but, when the phenomenon continues on seven subsequent days and one two hour movie phenomenon, he decides to take advantage of the situation with no fear of long-term consequences: he shoots his boss, does cocaine, breaks out of prison, and drives whatever car gets him the most blatant product-placement money. However, his attempts to get closer to LOIS repeatedly fail, as she either dies, is revealed to be a traitor, goes crazy under Chinese torture, goes into hiding, or becomes more Jack than Jack himself.

Eventually, Jack becomes despondent and tries more and more drastically to end the vicious 24-hour cycle; he gives offensive reports to Congress, tortures the President, shoots his fellow agent, and is eventually kidnapped by the Chinese. However, Jack wakes up and finds that nothing has changed; further attempts at dying are just as fruitless as those two times he actually died.

When Jack explains the situation to LOIS, she suggests that he should take advantage of it to improve himself. Inspired, Jack endeavors to leave CTU. He fakes his death and starts a relationship with a woman and her son, to no avail. He travels to Africa and helps missionaries, but the terrorists still follow him back to Jack's imaginary Washington D.C. this time. He begins to use his by now vast experience of the worst day of his life to kill people as viciously and unexpectedly as possible. He uses the time to learn, among other things, to bite a terrorist's jugular vampire style, knife sculpt in a thug's chest, and to survive previously 100% fatal diseases. Eventually, Jack is able to have contacts and a reputation in nearly every agency in the world, using his experiences to save lives, help townspeople (except Valencia - his bad), and to get closer to LOIS. He crafts a second argument on the need for torture so eloquent that even Senator Red Foreman is forced to admit that he might not be a total dumbass (briefly before being killed). After the disposal of the evening's last twist around 23:50 on Day 8, Jack and his latest LOIS, Agent Red, retire to CTU's private torture chamber together for a "debriefing."

Jack wakes up the next morning and finds the time loop is broken; it is now no longer the worst day of his life and Agent Red is still with him. Jack is a different person than he was before the worst day of his life, and after going outside Jack ponders his new, simple life in witness-protection as a mild-mannered groundskeeper of a major golf course. That is, until he spots a mole inside his airtight perimeter (it could be a gopher, though - these guys all look the same) and breaks out the sniper rifle and C4 plastic explosive. It looks like this day will never end.

Fin.
