A couple of fairly hard TOS trivia questions......

What episode had the longest teaser?

What 'top-billed' actor appeared latest in the episode?
That is, what 'non regular' actor was the 'top-billed' guest and appeared at the latest time point in the episode.

What TOS actors died before TOS had completed it's first run cycle in 1969?

Number one is "I, Mudd".

And I'm pretty sure that Frank Overton is one of the answers to number three.

And this is just a guess for number two, but maybe Oliver McGowan as the caretaker in "Shore Leave"?

Hmm.

I, Mudd is not what I think the answer is.

Do you know the lenght of the teaser for I, Mudd ??

The teaser I am thinking of is over 5 minutes long---is I, Mudd's teaser that long?

If it is I stand corrected.

Yes Frank Overton is one of the actors who died before the series had finished first run.

At least 3 more i know of.

Wow, there were six other deaths while the show was still on.

All causes----accidents, illness, old age etc.

Yes Theo Marcuse was one of the 7 who died early.

1. Theo Marcuse---died in an auto accodent after dying by 'falling door' in Catspaw.
2. Frank Overton---by heart attack, a little irony since he was 'perfectly healthy' in 'This Side...'
3. ?
4. ?
5. ?
6. ?
7. ?

The guy who played Kelowitz (Grant Woods?) died in a motorcycle accident around '68 (I think).

Sir Rhosis

Jeffery Hunter died May 27, 1969, assuming he's considered a "TOS" actor.

And Clegg Hoyt, 1967. Assuming he's acceptable as Hunter.

Hey, Todd ------
you're right about I, Mudd---I checked the theaser is 5min 35 sec, I thought it was 'Wolf...' 5min 8 sec. Good call.

Felix Locher is right
Grant Woods is right
Jeff hunter is right
Clegg hoyt is right
so add in Marcuse & Overton & that only leaves

Leonard Mudie who played a 'survivor' in Cage, to round out the seven.

Hmm, a little ironic that 'survivor' didn't even last four years without Talosian benefit.

Haven't a clue about the WWI question and I guess no-one knows or wants to hazard a guess on the 'latest appearing top-billed actor'

Name the two Star Trek actors verified as veterans of the First World War.
(Memory Alpha) Ian Wolfe (4 November 1896 – 23 January 1992; age 95) is a character actor from Canton, Illinois who appeared twice on Star Trek: The Original Series, first playing Septimus in the episode "Bread and Circuses" and then Mr. Atoz the librarian in "All Our Yesterdays".

Along with Judith Anderson, Morgan Farley, Richard Hale, Celia Lovsky, Felix Locher, Abraham Sofaer, and Charles Seel, he is one of only eight credited Star Trek guest stars born in the 19th century to appear in any episode or film. He is also one of only two Star Trek actors verified as a veteran of the First World War. The other is Paul Fix.

Celia Lovsky should have fought in the war !!

Just seeing her face and that voice could have compelled many enemy soldiers to surrender.

"Are dee surrendering or are dee dying !!!"

Easy-easy one.........

earliest bow-out by one of the big three in an ep. (not to be see again in the episode.)
