more Q please

i think that every time Q is shown in a new show, his character is cheapened.... so i'm gonna say no on this. also the thought of Q as somebody besides john delancie makes me sad.

I agree with arasam that anybody else playing Q would be bad. However ive always liked Q, and wouldnt mind seeing him re-apear somewhere else down the line at some point =]

I loved Q on TNG, he was done brilliantly for the most part, particualrly since he was often making very good points through his rather... bizarre methods. But his uses on DS9 and Voyager were little more than cheap comic relief and soured me to the character appearing again.

I was always disappointed that Q never appeared in one of the movies. As such, I am all for it

I don't think Q is strong enough a character for a whole movie. He's a bit too silly and....wait a minute: He'll fit right into a JJ Abrams Trek!

I can't see anybody but De Lancie in that role. He owned it thoroughly.

I always enjoyed the Q episodes, the more serious ones though (Encounter, All Good Things). As for the actor, did anyone catch John De Lancie on the last few eps of the show "Breaking Bad?" He was excellent in that show.

By the time he appeared with his son on Voyager, he was really looking his age. It really grated me to see an omnipotant, ageless character showing the signs of aging.
So, no more Q!

Perhaps we can have Q retire and his son q take over...though i don't know how good an actor he will be.
