It also doesn't feel like it would have been anything close to a satisfactory wrap-up of the ongoing arcs, especially with the IOA and the Wraith.

Probably because this was originally intended as the first two episodes of season 6, not as an Ark of Truth-like wrapup.

Given the appallingly bad writing on seasons 4 and 5, I'm not surprised to read such a dreadful synopsis for an SGA movie.

Thank frank it'll probably never get made, I prefer to remember the show as it was in seasons 1-3

I thought seasons two and three of Atlantis were probably the worst of the franchise to be honest, while I felt the fourth was Atlantis' best.
