It’s official: Smallville’s upcoming two-hour Justice Society-centric “movie” is now an actual movie.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that The CW has jettisoned the separate titles that were initially assigned to each of the two episodes — “Society” and “Legends,” respectively — in favor of the singularly sensational (and far more marketable) Smallville: Absolute Justice.

What’s more, I hear the movie — which marks the debut of Michael Shanks as Hawkman (pictured) — will air as a seamless two-hour event with only one set of credits.

By the way, the air date for Smallville: Absolute Justice was recently changed from Jan. 29 to Feb. 5. Adjust your schedules accordingly.

Feb 5th makes more sense to me, I was surprised this wasn't occurring during sweeps and now it is.

They can't use Power Girl since Karen was an alternate reality Kara Zor-El. Although if they wanted to they could redevelop her as a Smallville character called Karen Star (isn't that what Karen's last name is) and give her a new idenity.

Starr.

They could use the alternate Universe angle. Might be fun. Clark wakes up in a world were Zor-El sent Kara to Earth and the Jor-El family didn't make it off Krypton. "The Blur" in this world is Karen Kent. The question is, how did he get there and how can he get back. The regulars like Lois, Chloe would have different roles. Maybe bring back Jimmy Olsen as the female Blur's "lois". Or Lois as the Green Arrow instead of Olivier.

This is Smallville we're talking about. So far the only (costumed) characters who even remotely looked and sounded like their comic book counterparts have been Zatanna and (assuming the photo everyone is debating is actually real) Hawkman. If they do bring in Power Girl, the odds are pretty remote that she'd look or act anything like her original. Which means instead of casting Christina Hendricks in the part, they'll more likely cast (insert name of petite, non-voluptuous actress of choice) and make her a completely different character.

Are you kidding. The only reason Power Girl is popular is because she has big boobs. And considering this is the CW we are talking about, they'll cast the "biggest" actress they can find for the role.

One loses all boob-perspective when reading comics. Kara's chesticles barely register. Now if you want to talk about how pissy she gets, her false atlantean heritage or her Earth II Kryptonian heritage as a member of Infinity Inc of her lover of recent: Hawkman? Though I'm behind in my reading, they may have split.

I adored her banter with Blue Beetle about weight and diet.
