I don't know if the one on eBay actually sold at that price.
AI just know it was gone the next time I checked it out.

Under $200, you got a good deal apparently.

So they have a scale chart, but the ships are not actually to scale? That is nonsense.

The scale chart is just BTS show fluff. It's meant to show their scale in the show.

I really wouldn't want to buy scale models which are not in scale with each other.

i meant, of the three previews, it's the only model we haven't seen yet. the other two are already in the hands of a lot of people.

The scales are all over the place. I don’t think there is a official one for most ships.

Nope. For the non-Discovery line you get weird things where huge, skinny ships like the 1701-E are tiny compared to squatter overall designs like the Miranda variants.

They never said the models were to scale.

Sure. It is still a stupid decision.

It really isn't. All the ships are made at roughly the same length.

Right. To me that is stupid. I want my scale models to actually be in scale with each other. Thus I have zero interest in buying these. YMMV.

Get AMT or Bandai a contract for 1/1000 scale ship models and throw out a fleet of ships.

They did try to have a line of scale ships but it would be economical. Some ships would be massive and be many, many bucks while others would be small and be cheaper.
If they did the NX at the current size, the Enterprise J would have to be over 13 times bigger. It would be nearly 2 meters. :)

Eaglemoss did just recently release a new scale chart of their line.

That isn't made by eaglemoss, it's fan made, from here.

Though it uses all the sizes given with the eaglemoss models.

Yes. This sounds perfectly sensible to me. Exactly as it should be.

It is probably not necessary to have each ship in the entire franchise in the same scale, but ships from the same era or at least a show should be.
