News More Eaglemoss Discovery Starships

hero collector has previews up for 3 discovery collection ships: the worker bee, cleave ship, at USS edison (which we haven't seen before):

With maybe 2-3 exceptions, that's how Eaglemoss did the main line, the ships are whatever scale needed to fit into their standard sized box.
So they have a scale chart, but the ships are not actually to scale? That is nonsense.

Ah the Millennium Falcon, nice!
We have seen it before, it was in the Battle of Binary Stars:

it also shows up in the escape artist short trek:

i meant, of the three previews, it's the only model we haven't seen yet. the other two are already in the hands of a lot of people.

The scales are all over the place. I don’t think there is a official one for most ships.
Nope. For the non-Discovery line you get weird things where huge, skinny ships like the 1701-E are tiny compared to squatter overall designs like the Miranda variants.

Get AMT or Bandai a contract for 1/1000 scale ship models and throw out a fleet of ships.

Right. To me that is stupid. I want my scale models to actually be in scale with each other. Thus I have zero interest in buying these. YMMV.
They did try to have a line of scale ships but it would be economical. Some ships would be massive and be many, many bucks while others would be small and be cheaper.
If they did the NX at the current size, the Enterprise J would have to be over 13 times bigger. It would be nearly 2 meters. :)

Yes. This sounds perfectly sensible to me. Exactly as it should be.

It is probably not necessary to have each ship in the entire franchise in the same scale, but ships from the same era or at least a show should be.
