More Dollhouse hysteria.

Generalissimo Francisco Franco was the dictator of Spain. In 1975, he became gravely ill, but it was many weeks before he finally died. In that time, news programs would occasionally note that "Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still alive," just to confirm that nothing new had happened (like him actually passing away) that they'd just forgotten to report.

In it's first year, after Franco had finally died, Saturday Night Live made a running joke in it's "Weekend Update" section mocking this, by reporting that "Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead."

I have 20 days till the law changes down here and I cannot download TV anymore.

Yeah, THAT happened real well...

Way I hear it, it was telstra that finally broke the deadlock when they told the government to go fuck itself, or words to that effect.

And the band played on.

The government should have waited till after sweeps. How dare they get inbetween a third of the population trying to watch Lost a week before it airs on the telly and the quasicriminal source of such things.
