At present, we're shooting for a 2016 release, to time it with TOS' 50th anniversary, and to put it simply, we don't need any artwork for a while yet.
On the one hand, I'm rather gratified that there's enough excitement that folks are already sending in stuff, but it turns out it's still waaaay early, and some of the submissions aren't quite up to snuff anyway (sorry, kids), and at the moment, it's just added aggravation that's not needed. Especially with the bad artwork; it's too soon to be crushing anybody's dreams.
So, aspiring artists, hold your fire, don't send anything in yet. And as far as the quality we'll be looking for, take a gander at the two previous mass-market versions. If you can match that level, then there's still hope, but if human anatomy is still a mystery, get thee to an art class.
