Moon -- actually going to be good?

So apparently this is only playing in 8 theaters in all of North America at the moment (don't know exactly which cities).

Must be an LA/NY exclusive thing (which is not uncommon), because I see four of those eight theaters are here. It wasn't on my radar until recently, but since its showing around the corner, I'll think I'll catch it.

Re: Moon

If it opens in Austin, I'll go see it. But for now, its only available in Los Angeles & New York.

Oh, I am SOOOO looking forward to this. I hope it plays here in the Houston area. There's really only one good art-house cinema downtown; maybe it will show up there.

Eta...OH, good! It comes here on the July 3rd! YAY!

Nothing in CT announced yet... :(

There's a POSSIBLE UK screening at Lakeside Vue Cinema in South Essex on the 30th of June.

They're holding a "Mystery Movie" screening at Half 6 in the Afternoon, and they're advertising it as "An incredible movie...you'll be one of the first people to see it". They list the running time at 98 minutes and on the IMDb the running time of Moon is 97 minutes. Seems like a close fit no?

A good thing about this mystery film though is that they'll give you a full refund if you leave in the first 20 minutes, so there's that.

OTOH, I just looked at the time for Pixar's UP, and that comes in at 96 minutes. Still not exact, but close enough. Seeing as UP isnt released here until October anyways its still an early screening anyhow.

I'll definitely be going, and if anyone else here lives in the area and is up for taking a chance, its there for you guys too :D

Heh. I hate to rub your noses in it, but I saw it a while ago and even got to chat with the director afterwards. ;)

Thats ok, I saw the new Star Trek movie at the London premiere and gawped at the stars in front of me in the cinema. :p

I'll take chatting with the director over gawking at actors from the sidelines any day. :D

Movie actually looks pretty good. After hearing the basic discription here I thought it sounded lame but then clicking on the link and hearing there review and seeing the trailer, it seems good. I think I'll have to wait for the DVD though. Dosnt seem so niche that it would be so limited of a release, I wouldn't of minded paying to see it at a theater...
