Monkey Island 2 Special Edition...

Well if memory serves that would only leave Manic Mansion and Last Crusade and one of them came bundled with Day of the Tentacle anyway. I'm sure they'll get around to the full catalogue sooner or later. If we're really lucky and this apparent renaissance of the pointy clickies continues, we might just get that Full Throttle sequel they kept promising...and cancelling.

I'd be happy if they stopped updating with MI2, and started making new adventures instead. I also have no problem with Telltale picking up the torch as far as sequels to LA properties. I've enjoyed their S&M seasons, and Tales of MI, and think they could do a bangin' job with Full Throttle.

Gah, I still need to finish the first one! Nice to see they're updating the next one, too, though.

Since this is the one MI games that I haven't played much of, I am very much looking forward to it.

^MI2 is easily the best of the bunch and well worth playing, even without the spiffy new graphics and voice work.

Definately the best of the bunch, Ron Gilbert is working on this, so maybe next we'll get the "lost" Monkey Island 3

This. And it's not only the finest MI game by a loooooooonnnngggg way, but it's also the finest point-and-clicker there's ever been, EVER.

Apart from the last minute. Shush.

Some say it's Day of the Tentacle, others Sam and Max, but neither have the sheer scope and ambition of this game. And even in its original form it looked great, can't wait to see the new version.

What about 'Lure of the Temptress' I still have the poster that came with the game. The discworld ones are just about playable (I have scratchy sound, but they're still just about playable) The best of the Discworld has got to be Discworld Noir, but my all time fav has got to be Grim Fandango.

I do remember MI 2 though, the spitting contest had me stumped for ages...

I didn't really like the Discworld games so much. They captured the feel of the books fine but the puzzles were so hard, and sometimes really illogical, that I remember just being really frustrated with them.

LotT was great though, great world. Loom was another early classic, though it looks so dated now.

The others we haven't mentioned were the two Indy games, Last Crusade, which was a bit frustrating in places (the Castle) but still great and then Fate of Atlantis which was another classic...

*readies my pieces-o-eight for the indy hat and the tiki lanterns* will it have both difficulty settings?

They are a bit, I've just spent most of the afternoon trying to solve it. I completed it when I bought it 11 or 12 years ago, I guess I just don't think as laterally as I used to - how depressing. Just wish my copy of Discworld Noir worked though, it wasn't half as illogical, and my Grim Fandango discs are scratched and won't play.
