Moms..(or mums for those of you across the pond)..for most people, they are the one person who will stand behind you no MATTER how much trouble you are in, or what crazy things you are doing in your lives...

Which SCIFI mother of a main character (so the mom can not be the main character) was the most supportive mother ever in a scifi movie, no matter what was going on? She keeps the main character on the straight and narrow, making sure he/or she never strays from what MUST be done???
