Just one in a growing list of my aforementioned technophilanthropist, company list investing in the future...you of course, again can't see anything in context whatsoever. However, that money is basically seed money for multiple companies for developing non-industrialized robots, it's quite a shot in the arm to the industry...but not the only one.

The relevant context here is called "reality," and he's doing fine. You aren't.
Ah but this is reality, that's the whole point...the innovative ones can see what's happening through technology and invest in it, or educate about it, true enough, it's still a small meme to the general population, but growing. These doers are the one's putting the money where their mouth is, making the future predictions a reality, and this is the first time in history all the enabling parts have been put into play. You really need to bone up on current events..you're way behind the curve...maybe why you don't write fiction anymore?
As for poor soujouner, he sees an item I may post but doesn't link it in his mind to the grand picture...his response is a perfect example.

You seem to have not gotten the underlying message in my original post so here it is put bluntly:
$25 million is a tiny amount when it comes to robotics. Your post is not news worthy in any sense. If it were 10 times that it might start to get interest.

As I recall, the Ansari X-Prize was a measly $10 million, but it spurred a few hundred million dollars worth of development and kicked the private space industry into high gear. $25 million isn't enough to fund a revolution in robotics, but it's enough to lower perceived barriers to entry and generate interest. People will compete for the money and introduce new ideas, any one of which could be the foundation for such a robotics revolution.

Dude, find one mention that it's an X-prize type competition. Just one. $25 million in the robotics field is nothing when spent this way. If the guy were setting up a competition this might be interesting news. He's not. He's just a hobbyist and not even in the same league as Skoll, Zuckerberg, or Musk.
Post when someone invests $250 million, that would be exciting and note worthy.
