300 years has passed since the destruction of Earth. What's left of the human race has been divided into two empires locked in a war of dominance.
The Macbeth-like protagonist serves one of the empires. He can be a soldier or have some other esteemed position that is linked to the Emperor.
Among the spoils of a recent conflict aganist the rival empire is the show's version of the witches. The witches are genetically engineered products of a secret project ran by the rival empire. The witches are linked by a psychic connection and are born with the ability to predict the future which the rival empire wanted to use to predict the movements of its enemy to give itself an advantage in any future conflict aganist them. After giving the Macbeth-like protagonist and whoever will be his Banquo the prophecy, the witches make it hard for the Macbeth-like protagonist and the Emperor he serves to find them. Now that they are no longer under their masters' control, the witches are determined to have their own independence. While the witches are being hunted after, the Macbeth-like protagonist ponders on the witches' prophecy and his possible destiny as the next ruler of the Empire.
