Oh, Pinkie's parents are clearly Quakers, or at least Quaker analogues, which makes Pinkie that much more a wonderful enigma.
Its interesting to me how this episode places Pinkie's relationship with her sisters in context.
With Maud there's an obvious close bond between the two and they're definitely the weirdest daughters in the family, albeit with Pinkie excited and Maud stoic. She clearly looks up to her older sister a lot, and there's definitely a sense that Maud's looked after Pinkie before.
The inverse seems to be the case when it comes to Marble, with Pinkie clearly sees herself in the role of speaking for her and trying to get her out of her shell. It puts her dynamic with Fluttershy in an slightly different light as early on the series Pinkie was careful in not trying to hurt her sensitivities, and viewed her as a younger sibling even though Fluttershy pointed out she herself was a year older than her. In hindsight one can see that as Pinkie utilizing her own experience with Marble on to one of her friends.
The dynamic with Limestone is the one I'm most fascinated by because with most grumpy or acerbic characters Pinkie either ignores their pricklier moments or just powers right through them with her zest and cheer. With this older sister though, you actually see a rare sight of Pinkie being outright annoyed and just a touch exasperated with Limestone at times.
It has me thinking she's dealt with Limestone's grouchiness so much, its become an old hat aspect she just learned to tolerate by now. Its never overt, but its a great little touch which shows that even a pony that always looks to brighten up others knows to just let her sister be. It might also explain why she's able to be so forgiving of someone like Gilda (far quicker than Rainbow Dash was) because she's dealt with a harsh exterior, warm interior personality before.

Those are very good points. Honestly, of all the ponies, Pinkie appears to be the most complex, at least to me. She has so many fears and doubts, but also a personality that tries to turn those very same fears and doubts into reasons to celebrate. It makes me admire her character just that much more.
Also, Big/Marble all the way.
