Ruminations:
Ooh, what could this secret be? Could it be what I'm thinking it could be? While there's not much to go on, I'm certain at this point that wild speculation abounds about what that secret really is. I know what my theory is, but I'd like to hear some other ideas first. If it is what I think it is, then that opens up some bigger questions about Equestria and how the royal system works, but if it isn't what I think it is, I wonder what it could be? Well, on Saturday we'll see! Also, that title has to be a Friends reference.

The secret will probably turn out to be kind of lame because they can't go for anything too wild.

If it's the secret I think a lot of us think it is, they probably will go through with it, because of the Cakes. That's all I'll say about that as not to give anything else away.

Dean Cadance in FG's blazer was fitted rather oddly, so that might already be a clue.

A! The secret was what we've all suspected, but given the titles for the remaining episodes, I think that'll happen next season. Good episode, particularly as Pinkie again displays the semi-knowledge that she's a cartoon character.

That was a great first episode for Gillian, hope she's back to write more next season.

Given horse's take 11 months (ugh, poor Cadance) it'll be at least that long before we see Skyla, assuming that's even the name they're going with.

Well, we know what that weird wobbly armed, horned thing is at the back of the season 5 poster now. :lol:

It was nice that Shining Armour technically got more screen time this episode, they've given Cadance a fair bit this season already.

And that photo of little AJ, very sweet. But she had her normal eyes so I take it the photo was added sometime later? Pound and Pumpkin still have the little beady black eyes even now.

And Gummy being Gummy :lol:

I don't know what score it, I was kinda spoiled going in and I am all for Pinkie Pie craziness but it was a bit much. :shrug:

Yay! Cadance and Shining Armor are going to have a baby!

This was a Pinkie-centric episode, and it was brilliant. I can't give away anything because of the nature of this episode, but suffice to say Andrea Libman carries it adroitly. Loved it! It gets an easy "A"!

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. They didn't mention in dialogue if she and Shining were married, but I'm guessing they are in that universe.

Pinkie Pie makes me laugh. A lot. This was basically Ponies do Warner Brothers cartoons. And it was fantastic.

The bit at the very end is epic meme material.

Meh. Not impressed with the secret. ;)

I also think they kind of overdid it with the Pinkie crazyness. She does seem to be pretty busy during the day, though. I liked how she made all those balloons.

Something Rainbow Dash fully acknowledges during the episode, if you read her books she's had a good grasp of all the characters for two and a half years, if Pinkie acted up, it was intentional.

I know Pinkie is a Chaos God, but what most cracked me up was that she actually has the best organised filing system in all of Equestria... :guffaw:

I didn't think Pinkie could ever surprise me again, I was so wrong...

Come to think of it, considering she has to have files over what kind of parties every single pony wants, it shouldn't really have come as a surprise to me.

Wife, kid and I laughed our collective bums off with this one. Can't expect ALL of them to be world-shattering character pieces. This was nothing new, but nothing old either.

This was a look at Pinkie being Pinkie, through a slice-of-life dilemma not unlike the sitcom from which this episode derives its name. This works just fine, and it's bonus fun seeing our Mane Six doing *something* together even if it's a pedestrian treasure hunt, after being largely separated into smaller groups (or solo adventures) this year.

So many great Pinkie throwaway gags... I was laughing so hard at the "they're gonna have a lot more to take care of soon" sotto line that I missed the next two jokes, and I was fully done with her silent "Noooooooo..." to fourth-wall us home. Super good.
