Episode Title: "Tanks For The Memories"

Summary: "With winter quickly approaching, Rainbow Dash has a difficult time accepting the fact that Tank is going to have to hibernate for the entire season, so she decides the best solution would be to prevent winter from ever arriving."

Ruminations:
So we have our first Dashie episode of the season, and I'm excited. I love Rainbow Dash, and always look forward to whatever life lessons it is she's going to learn. This time around, it looks like we're going to get sentimental Dash, which we don't often get to see, which will be nice, because I've always thought Dashie was at her cutest when she's sentimental and sweet (it looks good on her).

I believe premiere time is now 11:30 Eastern.

Also, eh? There hasn't been a winter since Tank arrived? But... Hearth's Warming... and about fifty other episodes of stuff... how... what... ohh, brain hurt now.

Although, since ponies are responsible for changing the seasons, Dashie stopping winter from happening doesn't sound as bonkers as it might otherwise be!
 
Ah, yes, you're right! The 11:00 AM show time is the previous week's episode, and it's now 11:30. Thanks DarkHorizon!

What I'm about to say shouldn't spoil anything. I keep realizing how each pony struggles with her element to some degree. Rainbow Dash struggles a lot. Loyalty seems to cause a pony a lot of grief, I think, because you're loyal to many things.
 
Hmm, RD really went overboard this week and at times it was stretching credibility even for her hijinks.

We learn more about the weather, seasons, see the Running of the Leaves again briefly which was a nice little shoutout.

It kind of rushed a long here and there until the intervention when a lot of stuff just seemed to get dropped. But it has character development throughout so most of it was just plot setup.

So, Cloudsdale moves, and "delivers" seasons to different areas of Equestria at different times, winter doesn't actually come every year and explains why RD hasn't had to deal with this 3 times already.

The Pegasi joke was good, people are already complaining about it but I was giggling along with it. I honestly worried for ages about naming my Pegasus OC "Overcast" incase it didn't sound right, but after that.... :lol:

Flutterbitch is back, and a subtle nod with AJ to her dealing with lose/grief before and not showing it as openly. Ashleigh did an amazing job this week and the solo song was awesome.

But that Game of Thrones shoutout...really? did we really need that? it nearly spoiled the episode for me, I hate that "show" and don't need that dragged into Ponies like that. Just leave it out next time.

RD doesn't lose her job, face criminal charges for nearly destroying Cloudsdales entire manufacturing industry and plunging Equestria into chaos? I know maybe nopony saw her but they better be able to fix it all.

The little "nuclear winter" gag. Instant winter, heh.

And we get to see the lake Twilight tried to learn to skate on again. Maybe we'll get a nod to Winter Wrap Up in the next few eps.

It was a nice episode, lots more crazy faces, character moments, a little out of character though at times but also moving at one point.

Guys, was it just me or did Rainbow make a Grinch face? And... did this count as Dashie having her crazy episode?! Chem, Twilight should've been arrested for her misuse of magic. And yet she wasn't. Equestrian law regarding sabotage and misuse of magic must be somewhat lax.
Rainbow made my niece's mad face... :D

Hoo boy! That was a great episode! There are so many things that were noteworthy!

So many great character moments with Rainbow Dash! She got to sing and it was so sweet! Her bond with Tank is so strong, and it's sweet that the very idea of his needing to hibernate, to be unavailable to her for months, caused her distress to the point where she was willing to put a stop to it.

*Fluttershy's experience as a veterinarian comes into play here. I also loved how she worked with Rainbow Dash to get her to come to terms with Tank's need for hibernation.

*Of course, then there's the hijinks Dash got into in order to keep Tank from needing to sleep, which we all know he would have done anyway as it's part of his natural biological cycle.

*Rainbow Dash also wins best faces, beating out Applejack.

*My favorite quote from the episode "Twilight! Applejack cries on the inside!" :lol:

All in all, a fantastic episode, and I think it is currently the best episode of the season so far. It easily gets an "A" from me! :D
