MLB World Series 2018: Eh. Dodgers/Boston. Eh.

Per Aaron Boone, Greg Bird will likely return to the Yankees lineup on Saturday.

I like Bird and think he has a chance to be a very good player, but he needs to stay healthy, or the Yankees are going to move on. Here’s to hoping he has a good season.
 
I'm glad the Jays didn't sign Joey to that long term deal he wanted after watching his decline in his final year in Toronto. Sure, he can give you an odd hit, but he is a defensive liability to be anything more than a bat off the bench. If he wasn't such an egotist when he became a star, I may have liked him.
 
I haven't even heard this firsthand, and it's already an earworm:

Gleyber Torres hits home runs over the State Farm ad in Yankee Stadium's outfield wall, and thus John Sterling has the inevitable call:

"And like a good Gleyber...State Farm is there..."

Not only is that an earworm, you are already thinking of Sterling singing it. Don't lie. :lol:
 
I'd sooner drill a hole in my head than imagine that gasbag saying anything.

MLB 2018: No One Cares About Your Fantasy Team :p

Edit: Acuña to the 10-day DL with a mild ACL sprain and lower back contusion. Holy moly, knees aren't supposed to bend that way, he must be made of rubber.

Yeah, I just read about that...thanks to fantasy baseball (okay and the MLB news app). Thank the gods it isn't a serious injury. That could've been a career ender, although granted we don't know how it'll effect his performance yet.
