MLB World Series 2018: Eh. Dodgers/Boston. Eh.

The Yankees announce Severino is the starter tonight.

Could be interesting, but I like the choice. This is something he's got to make it through. I don't expect him to me as wound up nervous as he was last year.

The A's are "starting the reliever"... great year by them and I expect a much better game than the Twinkies gave us last year.

Speaking about the Twinkies.... the fired Paul Molitor? .... are you kidding me? .... they should fire the front office.

Well, I'll be on pins and needles tonight for sure. Could be 100 and out, but I don't think so. The stadium will be rockin....

Break - break....

Andujar for AL Rookie of the year!! Beating Joey D's rookie doubles record is pretty damn impressive. What a hitter.... he doesn't look at pitches he can hit and hits the ball where it's pitched. I wish we could clone him.
It's gonna be a great game. I'm pulling for the A's, but it's anyone's game. Severino is an odd choice for the Yanks, as he hasn't had a great second half, and the A's have shown they can hit his stuff. I actually like the short porch at Yankee's Stadium, as we have plenty of power in our lineup.
I'm predicting the final score will be 9-6 - A's.

I'm really pulling for the A's. Not just because damn the Yankees, but also because I've had a fondness for them ever since the Tony La Russa days.

I can understand non Yankees fans rooting for the A's. MLB's lowest payroll heading to the Bronx.

Prediction... 8-4 bombers

Yanks just busted it open, now 6-0.

Funny story, my middle guys name is Aaron Liam Hendricks. So when I told him about Liam Hendriks pitching for the A’s he was very excited. His team in little league was the A’s. So we settled in to watch the first inning of him pitching and he walks a dude and gives up the homerun to Judge. Aaron gets up tand says, I can’t watch anymore of this and heads up to bed.

UGH.

Maybe, just maybe this will be the Indians' year, at least for the American League championship. I'm still hoping for the Braves to go all the way. Would be fun if we got a rematch of the '95 series.

7-2!!

Great win!!

Sevy got the monkey off his back, Judge is back, and probably the biggest thing.... Betances is killing it!!

Luuuuuuuuke!!!!!!!!!

Watch out if Sanchez wakes up (good night behind the plate BTW)

Just a note... the Yankees are STARTING 3 rookies in their infield... that's got to be a first for any play-off team.

On to Boston!!

The game last night was a great example of the power disparity that will eventually kill the MLB.
The A's (like other small market teams) have to scrimp and save and piece together a winning team. They can have a great, mind blowing season, but when they get to the playoffs the depth and skill level of the larger market teams wins out.
Great season A's - maybe next year.

It's hard to draw a narrative based on a one game playoff in baseball. Sometimes things just fall into place at the right time. A's could have had the right breaks at the right times just as well as the Yankees in that game.

I guess Boston's just going to be loud the next week and a half.

A little late, but my predictions for the divisional series:

Boston over NY Yankees in 5
Houston over Cleveland in 5
Milwaukee over Colorado in 4
LA Dodgers over Atlanta in 4

Braves were awful offensively and prospects aren't good for them tomorrow with Kershaw on the mound.

Rockies/Brewers was a really entertaining game with stars making key plays. Hopefully this series gets to last.

Took the opportunity to watch Christian Yelich last night.

Impressive.

Sweet lookin swing.
