that one guy who's pointing is probably asking for an asswhipping, though.

The guy who's pointing to the side instead of up? That's what I meant. (At first I thought he was pointing at the girl who appears to be wearing Dodger blue...)

Also, why *are* some of the K's backwards? :alienblush:

Not shockingly, it's the biggest damn thing IN monument park  Oh George, even in death you overshadow everything around you

That was an ugly top of the 6th. :brickwall:

Side note: I hope Tyler Colvin (Cubs) is okay. Poor guy essentially got pierced through the chest the other day by a shattered bat!

Well, its becoming clear that the close competition between Tampa and NY is taking its toll on the pitchers.

Not good for Tampa, but yeah for the other teams in the AL playoffs! :techman:

...
It's going to go down to the wire. A 3 game set in Arizona and then 3 at home with the Giants.

Hopefully Arizona's going to hold you down till we get there ;)

Come on Giants, stay on target, STAY ON TARGET!

Phillies score 4 in the 9th to beat the Nationals 7-6 for their seventh consecutive win.

Braves-Phillies series should be exciting, huh?

What a great ending. The Nats announcer was poo-pooing CBP after a homer by one of the Washington players, saying , "Play THAT in your bandbox!" Only to have Werth crush the walk-off to deep left-center field.

Anyway, saw a great comment on a post-game pic of Werth at a Phils board I go to, so I made this:

How in the heck did you create that?

I imagine they're strikeouts where they were caught looking.

That's correct.

On a different note... what in the name of Stan Musial happened to the Cardinals this season? :vulcan: In the span of a little over a month, they've gone from leading the NL Central to trailing by 8 games. The Reds' magic number is now 4! The Reds have played decent ball since they were swept in mid August by the Cards. However, the Cardinals have gone 12-24 since then. They've lost the division more than the Reds have won it, me thinks.

The Mets are officially eliminated and I'm going to dive down to the bottom of a pool of scotch and breathe heavily.

Time for the Jerry and Omar watch to begin.
