Is it just me or have umps been throwing people out of the games more often? I'm not complaining, mind you, I actually love it when an ump gives a good "You're outta here!"
^ Apparently Ian Kinsler doesn't know he's been thrown out - he's still there in the dugout. 
The Braves hitting coach got ejected for arguing one too many times tonight... and then the Braves had some offensive explosion. Makes me wonder...
Good for the Giants. Not sure whether to laugh at Jonathan Sanchez wiping the SD off the back of the mound though.
Rockies squeak out their 9th in a row and are 18-4 in the last 22.
The Rockies are now 10-0 in their last 10 games and are 11-1 in September with sweeps of the Braves (although that series started in August), the Padres, the Reds, and the Diamond Backs. The only loss was that stupid make up game against the Phillies where they had to come home from California, play a game and then immediately fly back to California.
No idea if they can have another miracle September, but the NL West is a hell of a lot more exciting than anything else going on right now.

1.5 games out of the division, and 2.5 out of the wildcard. Could Rocktober be too far away?
If the Braves fail to make the playoffs, I will burn The Ted and half of Centennial Park down.
Yeah, me too. That would put the Phillies out of the WC spot. 
The Phillies are already out of the Wild Card spot. That spot is held by Atlanta. Colorado is three back, although there's basically a three way log jam in the west.

Wow, what a throw by Greg Golson there. That game had me worried when the Rays scored 7 runs in an inning...thank God Posada came through...

Jeter admits hamming it up, that he wasn't hit by the pitch. Kinda lame. Can't really say I'd want someone on my team acting differently, but still kinda lame to go through all that, call out the trainers, etc. Especially when he's constantly leaning over the plate and diving into pitches anyway...

Braves epic September collapse... yay
I'll be heading to AT&T Park in about an hour. I love to get there, take a lap or two around the park and enjoy the various views, then grab some garlic fries and our seats and watch our Giants take on those bums from L.A.
