You know what was great? When the two guys fighting over who owned the Barry Bonds ball ended up losing money after everything was said and done. That's justice.

Anyone notice that the Cubs and White Sox have a double no-hitter going after 6 innings?

Yeah, at least we're not completely out of it. Even if we are losing far more than we're winning, they'll pull out a game just to make you think they're out of the funk.

Giants got their fourth win in a row tonight against Baltimore, although I almost felt a little bad for the Orioles. Not only did the Giants offense just overpower them, the number of blown calls that went against them was pretty sad. I mean, they had a home run off the top of right field wall called a double by the umps...and the O's didn't even challenge the call. It was like they didn't even know it had been hit out.

It wouldn't have made much of a difference, though...10-3 isn't much better than 10-2 at the end of the day.

I am glad to see my guys tied for 2nd in the NL West and only a half game away from 1st! :)

Good to see the Jays' bats woke the fuck up today against the Padres.

Leading MLB in homers is great, but they aren't what you would call an elite team. Which basically means they live and die with the long-ball. A lot of people speculated about what would happen when the bottom fell out and the result is something like a 2-6 road trip.

I think they'll be in the race almost till the end of the season but ultimately, being in the AL East is just going to kill them in the long run, as usual. Being a good team doesn't cut it there. You've gotta be exceptional.

It was nice, wasn't it? I'm wondering how long it will last, and if I'll have to change my avatar. :p

If they are gonna revert to suckiness, let them do it sooner rather than later. No more 2007-08 gut wrenching gag jobs.

I'm glad Lincecum is ok, but don't want to see him feel any ill effects. While that was going on, Sanchez made a hell of a play.

Yeah, the way he went down and then covered his head had me really worried. I'm glad he was okay, and that was a pretty awesome play that almost went unnoticed by Freddie.

Just watched highlights from the Nationals/White Sox game. Strasburg's third start. This kid fucking terrifies me.

I don't think he's human. Still couldn't pick up the win, but I don't think you can fault His Robotness for that.

Ditch Kawakami and I'll in be in a really good place with the Braves. What started out as shit, could become a special final season for the old manager. Good stuff.

Nice to see someone else's bullpen become unglued- I was expecting that to happen to the Twins. Good game for the charity- all those home runs (by both teams) sure earned them a lot of money.
