I have been a bleacher bum a few times in Chi-town and once in Old Yankee. So yes guilty of buying over-priced crap a time or three, now you have to do it on-line.

It does not excuse the obvious stupidity of today's clubs that are being just plain moronic in any shape or form.

No excuse at all. But a few people here and there saying they'll boycott watching the games isn't exactly the biggest loss teams are taking this year. Ticket sales, $10-a-beer sales and lots of other revenue is also not there. They don't want to lose ad revenue from not airing games as well.

So on Friday morning, the Cardinals will still have only played five games. The Reds will have played 19.

Of course, the playoffs are the moneymakers! That's what really matters here! That sweet, sweet moolah! Who cares about human life?!

They're looking at some sort of "bubble" for the MLB postseason. I would think 2-4 cities would be selected as hubs. Chicago, New York, LA and San Francisco are all cities with two MLB stadiums (if you can call Oakland an MLB stadium). In addition, Milwaukee is very close to Chicago giving that location a third stadium.

Just a thought. San Diego is only 100 miles from LA and Mikwaukee is close to Chicago. With three MLB stadiums and eight teams in each league, it should be easily doable. One day game and one night game in each stadium every day, the first round (four best-of-three series in each league) could be done in a week.

'81 or '82 was the split season, where the Reds ended up with a good record (best?) and missed the playoffs because of the way they tallied things up.

To make matters worse, the Cincinnati Reds (National League West) and St. Louis Cardinals (National League East) each failed to make the playoffs. This was despite the fact that they had the two best full-season records in the National League that season (and thus would have won their divisions under normal circumstances).

Well nothing really unless lots of people do it. Otherwise though is mostly for peace of mind. If people want to watch it that is fine. I am the last person to go all cancel culture on something but I personally don't want to watch. I don't mind coming back next season once COVID is gone.

^ Seriously tho. Not watching baseball on purpose is only going to accomplish one thing: depriving you of baseball. It is not going to do SHIT for changing the opinion of MLB in general (not like they're ever gonna know what you're doing). So what's the point? Just watch a game that you love, and hope that these outbreaks stop.

Well I am still watching baseball. Just older games on Youtube. Lots of regular season games as well were I don't even know the score so it's almost like a new game. Like I just watched a 1993 game with the Cubs and Philles. Pitching matchup was Mike Morgan and Terry Mullholand.

Yep. Considering how they have been high-fivin', chest bumping and hugging not to mention almost zero social distancing in the dugout it was bound to happen sooner or later. Possible double-header on Monday but I won't put any $ on it.

It really bites cuz Jesse Winker has been on fire. If the bullpen hadn't been suckin' out loud so far they would have 5-6 more wins.
