He looks great and ESPN needs to bring him back to fix their awful baseball coverage. Keep Jessica Mendoza, fire everyone else straight into the sun and go back to a two-person booth.

I don't think I have ever agreed with you more than I do right now. Miller is all-time great. Sunday Night Baseball just isn't the same without Miller. Of course I wouldn't mind going with a third person and bringing Joe Morgan back as well. Bring back the 90's with a Mendoza twist.

Joe Morgan can burn in hell.

Why not like him? I mean if not Morgan I guess they could bring back Harold Reynolds even though he never did Sunday NIght Baseball. Of course who wouldn't want Chris Berman back or maybe even Buck Martinez.

I can't stand people who refuse to let facts get in the way of their opinion, and Morgan epitomized that character trait, especially with the way he would actively campaign on-air to keep people out of the Hall of Fame, as though it would somehow lessen his standing, or the constant jabs he'd take at Ernie Banks.

I remember nearly having an aneurysm during a Sunday Night Baseball game ages ago, probably more than a decade ago, in which Morgan asserted that "you can't beat this team by outscoring them." Exactly, then, how do you win games, Joe?

Harold Reynolds even though he never did Sunday NIght Baseball. Of course who wouldn't want Chris Berman back or maybe even Buck Martinez.

Martinez is fine as long as he's doing analysis, but he's awful on PBP. Harold Reynolds is a sex pest. Berman's schtick got old fifteen years ago.

I love the Rays - they deserve better. But that's the way the cookie crumbles in today's world of corporate welfare.

The other great prospect is the Rays will probably pare down payroll to the $30-40 million a year range until they end up moving.

Sorry.

The thing that a lot of people forget is that, outside of college (and even that's really limited to the Gators), Florida is not a baseball state. Football is basically a way of life there, and that's the sport that everyone flocks to, even when teams like the Jaguars are utter shit. Just as the Marlins were gifted a stadium that no one in Miami wanted, the only reason Tampa Bay / St. Pete has a stadium in the first place is because Jerry Reinsdorf got some friends down there to say they'd welcome the White Sox were they to move; Reinsdorf was using them as leverage to extract tax breaks for the new Comiskey Park from the City of Chicago (which, as I recall, he never ended up getting, because it was patently obvious he was never going to move the team). So the Tampa Bay investors were left holding the bag.

If Tampa doesn't want a baseball team it would be nice to have another sports team here in Oklahoma to go along with the Thunder. I think the Oklahoma Rays sound kind of nice.

Huh, I could've sworn you hated Miller as much as you hated Morgan.

Get ready for the Carolina Rays :D
I'm down for that! But I doubt it'll happen...

He has been brutal to listen to on play by play. The only time he is tolerable is when Dan Shulman is calling the game and bumps him over.
