Byrd was.....Byrd. The bullpen did good, and Varitek remembered the point of the game was for the bat to HIT the ball.

Well Lester finally had a shitty outing...but I'll give him a pass. He has been almost perfect for two months.

The White Sox and the Rays though, are you shitting me...REALLY?! Honestly, that game was bull. THe Rays have been pulling off the freaking miracle eighth inning come backs that defy belief, and most are not of their own making, but the incompetence of the other team. Loading the bases on walks, and they take the lead on ONE single. Good lord.

All I can say is 2/3 against the Jays in Toronto is good for the Sox. They absolutely suck against that team, so to win 2 on the road is good. Jed Lowrie with an extra innings HR and Delcarmen with the save. Excellence!

Well I did go to the Phils/ Dodgers game tonight, to see Manny and the rest of the old Sox. A nice game by the Phils, with a Pedro Feliz walk off homer.

I did see a sign that said "I came here from Boston to boo Manny Ramirez" or something like that. I cheered when I saw that.

Great game, although I was a bit nervous when it got to the point that Kyle Kendrick was a pinch runner and Cole Hamels was a pinch hitter.

I thought it was awesome when Cole Hamels pinch hit. Shame he didn't win the game; that would have been hilarious!

Nice streak of national broadcasts of Phillies game, too.

The Sox gain a game on TB and pad their wild card lead. Excellent! It's also nice to see the rest of the lineup getting RBIs without Lowell and Drew.

Great game in Philly tonight. Phils came back from 7 down against the Mets pen to take the lead in the NL East. But, still, in 13 innings, things get kinda difficult. The Phillies had pitchers Cole Hamels and Brett Myers pinch hit (well, I don't know if you can consider what Myers did pinch "hitting"). If the game had gone another inning, they would have had next game's starting pitcher pitch.
