MLB Chatter 2008

Aaron Cook deserves a raise and enshrinement in cooperstown for getting out of that inning without blowing the game. Billy Wagner woulda gave up a grandslam.

Good Lord Cook gets out of it. Somewhere freaking Dusty Baker is going WTF did I say about clogging the bases!?

At the rate the All Star Game is going, Tim Lincecum should heal up from his flu-like symptoms in time to pitch the end of this thing.

Way to rep the Mets David. Oh well, its time to root for the AL to tee off against Brad Lidge and Pujols him for the rest of the year.

EDIT: I really wish Jose and Santana were on this team becasue we woulda won it a long time ago.

Oh, in case anyone missed it earlier, there was a graphic that said there have been only 10 previous All Star Games in extra innings with the National League winning all but one, which ended in as a tie. The last extra innings game was in 2003. But they haven't said anything about the longest game. Yet.

Hot throw on Martin's part, but Tejada definitely didn't tag Kinsler. That sucks for the American League.

Brandon Webb is heading toward the pen. This might be a long game and I`m sure people down in Tampa are praying that Kazmir doesn`t pitch

Damn, Nate McClouth throws Dioner Navvaro out at the plate to save the game. The pirates are not sniffing the playoffs but they might have save homefield advantage for the NL

Hot throw on McClouth's part and great play on Martin's part! :D

And this game keps on going and going and going...

Both Webb and Kazmir don't need to go in considering they both had 100+ pitches on Sunday, but if they must...

2 and 3 with 1 out and the AL is gonna walk Tejada to load up the bases for that choke artist Dan Uggla. Hopefully his bat works a little better then his glove.

After this game is over, I want Omar to trade for Aaron Cook. I don`t care what it takes but I want him in the pen over Billy Wagner.

Someone pointed out to me that this felt like watching Celebrity Jeopardy. Each team's best response is "I'll take The Rapist for three hundred."

That curve to Uggla was almost Wainwright like. Its a good thing people in Miami don`t care about baseball and Uggla won`t hear any bad comments about his fielding and bat.

EDIT: I have to say this has been a great game and much more enjoyable then I thought it would be. Some part of me would love to see a tie just to see Bud cry on national tv, because I don`t think MLB has any idea of what to do if that happens.

P.S. David Wright is up next for the NL, so if we can get out of the inning, King David has one more chance to be a hero.
