That was some straight up 1962 Mets shiznet right there :guffaw:

I've watched this clip a half-dozen times and I still can't quite comprehend what was going on. Once again, fuck Manfred for his hatred of shifts, because that's what gives us clownball moments like this.

It's the Red Sox-- who cashed in/out-- and they are a cold bucket of shit now, kinda like the cubbies.

Red Schlox are 22-14 at the moment. Not so much like the Cubs.

...fuck Manfred...

(at least giphy has left this one alone)

ESPN reports that the Oakland A's are looking into the possibility of relocation and have MLB's support. This might give a kick in the pants to all the new stadium proposals that never went anywhere. Their dream is a waterfront stadium in downtown Oakland at the Howard Terminal site.

Their lease at their current ballpark runs through 2024. The A's are the last pro team left in Oakland with the Raiders moving to Las Vegas and the Warriors moving to San Francisco.

From the last paragraph:
While MLB has been loath to expand, multiple cities have publicly expressed interest in a franchise. The likeliest possibility if the A's do pursue relocation would be Las Vegas, which has found success with the Raiders and the NHL's Golden Knights, but commissioner Rob Manfred has in the past also cited Portland, Vancouver, Nashville, Charlotte and Montreal as potential expansion sites for franchises.
I'm curious where folks think it's most likely the A's will move to, assuming Oakland lets them go.
