Yeah. I know. Seems most of his songs nowadays are politically tinged to one degree or another. I love Ray Stevens and have since I was a kid, but listening to his new stuff is like downloading Rubber Soul...and then deciding to listen to a Ringo solo album.

Exactly. I want the Ray Stevens that penned "Everything is Beautiful" and "Would Jesus Wear a Rolex?". Songs that encouraged us to have a laugh but still think about the human condition, and how we treat others. He seems to have totally abandoned that in favor of jingoism and political pandering. It's not even good political pandering, it's the Tea Party, what has to be one of the shallowest jokes of a political group since the Youth International Party.
