^I've read the books so I don't care, but invariably someone will complain about the spoilers in your post. Might want to code them.

Cool, thanks for clearing that up for me, Keith. I know this is completely off-topic, but I was wondering if IDW has been in touch with you regarding any possible trek comicbook projects for 2008? I'd love to see you pen another story in comic form. I first discovered you through the TNG series you wrote for Wildstorm, "Perchance to Dream." Great story.KRAD said:
While both The Lives of Dax and A Stitch in Time are considered part of the so-called "relaunch," they were developed independently of it -- the former back in 1999 as a separate trade paperback anthology, the latter as what turned out to be the last of the numbered DS9 novels -- and folded into the continuity after the fact. As for The Left Hand of Destiny Books 1-2, while they do technically take place prior to Avatar, they were released two years later, in 2003 after Rising Son, and were intended to be read then.Hmm, according to memory-alpha.org, The Lives of Dax, The Left Hand of Destiny and A Stitch in time all take place before Avatar. That's why I didnt think I started with the first book.
So reading Avatar first is just peachy. There's nothing wrong with going back and reading those other four out of sequence.

Glad you liked Perchance, which was actually my first published Trek tale.I know this is completely off-topic, but I was wondering if IDW has been in touch with you regarding any possible trek comicbook projects for 2008? I completely agree about the Dominion story. I thought the story did an amazing job of expanding the history and pyschology of the Founders.I know some people didn't like it, but I though the idea of the Progenitor (I think that's what they called if) and the Founders' worship of it was a really cool, and unexpected concept.
