Okay last month i watched the entire of TOS with a friend...and i argued with him because theres an episode missing, i saw it twice on tv as a kid, im not going mad , i know what i watched, despite googling bits of what happens no reference of this episode exists.

It involved captain kirk and spok n a couple of others visiting a planet where they mummified their dead, but it turned out it was a hoax and they wernt really dieing , and when kirk thinks he is dead he goes to this place where they are made to believe its heaven, hes told not to look down at one point in jest, and it turns out its undergroud if memory serves.,.....i remember this episode existed and i know i didnt make the whhole thing up.

That's definitely not one of the original 80 episodes of Star Trek. But your descriptions sounds somewhat similar to an episode of Star Trek: Voyager titled “Emanations”. In it, Harry Kim is trapped on a planet in another dimension where they euthanaize their ill, wrap them in bandages (≠ mummify) and put them in chambers where they are injected with a deadly poison and sent to another dimension (= the regular Star Trek universe). While they are being told that these people are sent to an afterlife where they are alive and well, it turns out that it's actually a hoax and they are really just rematerializing as corpses in the underground chambers of an asteroid belt.

Maybe that's what you're remembering?

Just because you remember it, doesn't mean it exists. ;)

As a kid I swore up and down that they cut a shot out of Star Wars when they released it to home video. Turns out I was remembering a shot from the Holiday Special.

Sounds like what he's remembering. That, or perhaps he read (or heard of) the Gold Key / TOS comics story, "The Mummies of Heitus VII" published in November of 1973....

That's what I first thought of. Turns out I missed a lot of Voyager.

I agree, this sounds like Emanations. You might try the Voyager Forum.

In any case, it is certainly not an episode of TOS.

Closing.
