Miss Chicken (the cat) is ill again.

aww :( I am so sorry {{{{{{{Miss Chicken}}}}}}.
Must be the season - my hamster, Professor Tibatong, had to be eutanized a week ago. He had intestinal cancer.

Are you going to get another cat?

We already have two other cats, both desexed males - Spider (aged 10) and Georgy (aged 7). Spider is a real mummy's boy.

Sorry to hear about your poor hamster.

(((((((Miss Chicken))))))) I'm so sorry about little Miss Chicken. :(

(And a hug for Rhubarbodendron, too.)

Hugs all around. I think everyone needs them at this point. So sad. :(

My sons picked up Miss Chicken ashes today and I have made a little shrine for her in one of my bookcases.

Many condolences. The urn is quite nice. When our last cat passed at 19 yrs, we had him cremated as well. He is in an oak box with his picture on front.

When she died, my family buried our cat in the garden. Now flowers grow over her place of rest, unmarked but unforgotten. Circle of life and all that.

I'm curious: What happens when you move? Disinter the cat? Leave it there for the new owners?

Well, it's my parents' house: they have been living there for 25 years and they have no plan of moving. In any case, it was more than 10 years ago, and with no casket/box, I doubt there is much left now.
