This little piggy went to market...
This little piggy stayed home, and voted in the avatar contest!

I have to admit that being a non-smoker I had to look up what a hookah is. But the word has a nice ring :)

Interesting that all these markets have an addictive aspect: I can't imagine a life without books; good food is more addictive than any drug (to me, at least); stocks, I understand, can be very thrilling and some people consider it a form of gambling that is also addictive; smoking is an addiction as well; and as for my local Christmas market: there's always that nice lad who sells hot chestnuts, 3 Euros a dozen (and I always get more than 12 because he finds it amusing that I love them so), my chestnut-addiction is the only reason why I visit that market almost daily

Voted. Two for the price of one -- such a deal!

You mean to say you've never read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland?

Then there's "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane: "Tell them a hookah-smoking caterpillar has given you the call..."

Not yet in English. In the German version I read the caterpillar is - politically correct - a non-smoker (it's a rather recent translation). I think I've read the story first when I was in my late 40s. We have so many excellent childrens books that foreign ones are almost unknown but I'm working on filling that educational gap.
During a rainy vacation in Wales 6 years ago I discovered Roald Dahl, immediately got hooked and lent the books to my dad who, at 78, fell completely for The Enormous Crocodile :D (my favourite is The Vicar Of Nibbleswicke)

Books are the most addictive drug ever =)

Nevertheless it looks like the Christmas market beat Rick's books (oops, rhyme not intended)
The next topic will be the eternal no. 1 topic in busses, queues and doctors' waiting rooms: the weather

thank you :) So far it's been a rather Murphy-ish week, so winning twice in a row is a doubly nice break from minor and major catastrophies.
Btw, don't worry if I'm afk for a few days: my internet and landline will get switched from ISDN to NGN tomorrow and it's bound to take longer than predicted (German Telecom is basically Murphy's Law turned into an industry :D ) SMS/cell will still work, if there's a prob with ReNext or Terran.
