So we're deep in the throes of the holiday season. Our last contest looked at the worst presents ever, so now let's turn around and look at the opposite end of the spectrum, with the BEST presents ever!

So show us those great presents! Your entry can be a present you have either personally received or given, or just something that you'd like to receive. I'll even allow things that you would like to have that may not even be tangible, or even realistic. (There were a couple of items in the news today that might count as early presents to some! ) If you want to avatar-ize your response from this thread, feel free!

Standard avatar contest rules apply: maximum of 200 x 200 pixels and 1 MB. Entries MUST be SFW!! (If *that*'s what you want for Christmas, just keep it between you and Santa, we don't need to see it here! ) No media images--if your present in question is physical media of a movie or TV show, you can show the packaging, but your entry can't just be images from the movie or TV show itself. You may enter up to three avatars. Contest will be open for about a week (so around Boxing Day), but I may extend it if it seems that people are too tied up with pre-holiday activities to enter over the next week.

This one I got for Christmas when I was seven, and it (together with a Captain Picard figure) started my Playmates Star Trek collection. I still have it somewhere, though not the box.

^ I got a similar kit to build the enterprise one christmas but the thing I got from the same cousins was this --

Vintage 1976 Radio Shack Science Fair 150 in 1 Electronic Project Kit# 28-248. At least I think that is what they gave me. it is the right year and all --- I sorta remember the read square block I could use and did for making morse code signal from my place to my friends house with 3 wires between our houses across the street -,...

Going towards the intangible, and since I don't think the "givers" think of it as a gift, it may not even qualify for this contest. As a single, Christmas could be a lonely matter, but each year my brother and his family invite me for dinner on Christmas Eve, which I consider probably the greatest gift of all. Although, since I don't have their permission to share any photo of them, I'm using a web-found image I think is a stock picture, to convey the idea:
