Hi all, it's time to vote for your favourite mythological deity avatars!

There are thirteen gods and goddesses in our contest's pantheon, so you may vote for three, just not your own, please. Voting will be open for five days.

being an atheist I'm not scared Murphy's Law is more to fear, in my experience. What is a weather-deity's lightning bolt compared to a drawer of knives dropping on your foot or your tax-refund sheet getting lost in the mail?
(hmm, I should have entered Annoia, godess of things getting stuck in drawers - well, there you have it: Murphy at his best.)

being on the phone while voting I thought two votes was all we could do and only voted for two.. then after the vote posting I saw it was three that I was allowed hopefully that will offset the vote count - somehow.

^if this were Germany, you'd get a notification of the vote 3 months in advance. You'd then declare that on the day of the voting you aren't able to go to the polling place in person and therefore would like to cast your vote in writing. About 2 weeks before the voting you'd get a multiple choice sheet on which to mark your prefered candidates. You vote, put the sheet in the provided unmarked envelope and that one in another marked with your voter ID and drop it in the next mailbox (no stamp required). It will then be taken out of the marked envelope, you'll be checked off the list and the neutral envelope with your vote goes into a sealed box together with other written votes. On the day the poll closes, that box will be opened, all votes counted and the result added to the "live" poll.

Sorry for the delay... I'm still thinking about the theme and should have the new thread up sometime on Sunday.

It is an interesting idea. My username actually relates to my interest in various historical eras, and my love of time travel stories.

However, after a couple of days of thinking, browsing around the internet to make sure there would be plenty of material for folks to come up with avatars, I've chosen the theme.

I have to apologize for this further delay. I will definitely have the new thread up later today (right now it's nearly 6 am in my time zone and I haven't been to bed yet... look for the new thread sometime this afternoon, MST).

Sleep is so healthy it’s like I will have vivid dreams of my grandmas kitchen when she would cook my French toast just for me and we would talk, I tried to tell her in the dream she is dead but she doesn’t care and we have the long talks like when I was young...vividly real so beautiful omg you should do dreams like this,,..!!
