What is your favorite part of the winter holiday season? Is it celebrating Hanukkah, decorating your house with lights, buying gifts for friends, taking your kid to see Santa, visiting friends or relatives, or having break from school or work?

What it is, make an av of it and post it here. You may enter up to two avatars, 200 x 200 pixels max, 1 MB max, and work/Google safe. I'll put up the voting thread on the 23rd.

Here's one from me:
Christmas Trees. I am a sucker for the Christmas tree. I'd be happy to just around the beautiful tree and sip hot chocolate. I don't even care about the presents.

Had to go with the food for my first entry. From the dinners, to the desserts and cookies, to the snacks... it's all wonderful! And best of all, through the magic of Christmas, the calories don't even count!

I have some other ideas for my second one, but I'll wait and see what some others enter first.

Here's my second entry: another favorite part of the holidays is all the decorations. My mom has a HUGE collection of nutcrackers, so it's a big part of Christmas, for me.

There's a couple different options I could use for my second entry, but I'll go with:

Christmas music

I do really enjoy Christmas music... I'm just not one of these people who can start listening to it in mid-November. Due to various things IRL, I'm usually only able to really get into the holiday spirit a couple of weeks before the big day. (This year was even later, because reasons.) But once I'm there, I'll listen to it whenever I get the opportunity. The upside of that is, when it unceremoniously disappears from the airwaves at the stroke of midnight on December 26, I'm sad to see it go and am left wanting more, rather than being tired of it and glad its finally gone.
