This week's contest is about the unbearable heat that's descended upon many parts of the globe--the accursed summer! Post any avatar that depicts something about the heat--what it feels like, what it means to you, how you cope, what you do to make it easier, anything that represents hot weather to you, etc. You may enter up to two avatars.

Yeah, imagine them waking up to that one morning. They even had to get the snowplows out when the day before they were in shorts.

I heard about that. They can keep it! I can barely handle snow in January, so you can bet I'd be, um, "rather displeased" about snow in *June*!

This is why I don't live in the north. (Well, that and the White Walkers... )

When I first saw the image, I wondered why the water they were diving into was so foamy. Then I realized how it moved when they landed in it, and with a dawning horror, realized that was not foamy water.

Being mostly naked and diving full-body into a pile of snow? That must be the "very special level of hell" that Shepherd Book was talking about...
