"Mirror, Mirror" Line-by-Line!

CoveTom

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Greetings!

We've recently concluded our "Space Speed Line-by-Line" thread!

After each completed thread, I'm randomly picking someone who participated to choose the next episode we do. The lucky winner this time around was KirkPicard! And KirkPicard has chosen "Mirror, Mirror" as our next line-by-line adventure!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

As always, at the conclusion of this thread, I will pick someone at random from among all the participants to choose the next episode we do.

Enjoy!

[Halkan's Planet Surface]

COUNCIL LEADER: We believe what you say, Captain Kirk, but our position has not altered. The Halkan Council cannot permit your Federation to mine dilithium crystals on our planet.

Kirk: We have shown the Council historical proof that our missions are peaceful.

*This will be one of those 'from memory episodes.'* lol

THARN: We accept that your Federation is benevolent at present, but the future is always in question. Our dilithium crystals represent awesome power. Wrongful use of that power, even to the extent of the taking of one life, would violate our history of total peace. To prevent that, we would die, Captain. As a race, if necessary.

Kirk: I admire your ethics and hope to prove ours. (lightning and thunder) Kirk to Enterprise.

Kirk: Stand by to beam up landing party, plot an extended orbit to clear disturbance, Kirk out.

THARN: The council will meditate further, but do not be hopeful of any change. Captain, you do have the might to force the crystals from us, of course.

Kirk: But we won't. Consider that. Enterprise. Transporter room, energize.

(The landing party starts beaming out. On Enterprise, Spock enters the transporter room and approaches Kyle at the console)

Kyle: Trouble, sir.

(Kirk and the others stop in mid-stride and mid-sentence when they look up and see Spock in a completely altered uniform, armed with a phaser and a dagger, and most startling, with a goatee. He, along with Kyle and two security guards, give a Roman/Nazi-esque salute to Kirk, who along with the others for a moment, see how their uniforms have altered, especially Kirk's, into a much more flamboyant, sleeveless version of his own. There are also symbols on the walls, that of the Earth bisected with a sword.)

Spock: At norm, Mr. Kyle. Controls at neutral.
