You do realize you picked my one post commenting on another posters comment about not being comparable, right?

I already stated my preference.

Ofcourse I did. But when someone makes a statement like 'fans got to have their competitions'.... Maybe it's me, that sounds negative. And like I said, I just tried to make a fun thread.

Not meant as a negative; just an observation.

I prefer the Serenity. Falcon is an ugly clunker that never appealed to me.

I'll go with the Falcon, mainly because it has more sentimental value for me.
Serenity has an interesting look, though I've always thought it looked like some kind of big, weird snail or something like that... not my favorite mental image!

Given my 'formative" years were during the era when "saucer" designs still held sway (Jupiter 2, Enterprise's primary hull, etc.), I have to go with the Falcon, having seen the original film summer of '77 when I was 14.

Besides, other than stills of the ship's exterior, I've never seen an episode of "Firefly" or the movie "Serenity".

(Cue jaws downing upon the floor across the "room".)

A show that only ran a half a season 20 years ago? Sure, it has a cult following, and "cult usually translates into "small and fanatical". I don't blame anyone for letting it slip under their radar.

Call me a romantic but I love the way Mal sees the Serenity.

Nitpicky, I know, but watching it now I noticed something, Shouldn't the engines on Serenity be aimed down, in landing configuration? Or do they usually angle them back after landing? I can't remember.

She is so beautiful that she can do both :)

I'm not sure. I've seen both and might relate to the landing platform since that blast is pretty nasty.

Both I suspect. In the episode 2, The Train Job, Mal kicked the mobster Crow into the engine. It was horizontal at the time.
