Same feeling here. Much better to take pride in it, and prove that Trekkers/Trekkies/fans of Trek can indeed have a life and that liking Trek doesn't somehow disqualify you from that.

I agree. Some of them might be somewhat weird (but the term is relative), but they're not as bad as how the TV portrays them. I mean who isn't weird in some way, right? [chuckle] Their might be some really oddballs out there, I supposed, but most of them aren't like that. Some people may stand out a bit more, but that doesn't mean they are abnormal to the point of being ridiculous. Often time the stuff you see on television like politics and social issues are completely false and the opposite is true. This is why it is important for people to think for themselves and that they should know have the ability of make the right choices on their own and not powerless becoming slave to their own feelings and emotions. The great Buddha said that to question everything and keep an opened mind... He even said to question his teachings because smart as he may have been, he didn't know everything either. He said a lot of suffering that people experienced usually is often time cause by the people who are suffering themselves because of bad choices they make as a result of predjudice, anger, and hatred.

Quite, but dressing as a Cardassian doesn't because Cardassian justice is the finest in the entire quadrant and...
