Indeed, I go without wallpaper because it chews up precious memory. Pure black, baby.
I'm too much of an arts/photography/design junkie to go without a wallpaper. Even though "no wallpaper" surely has some minimalistic design appeal, too. I hate busy stuff.

Oh, I feel your pain. I was just the same until I started with modeling and photography. When you have a couple of thousands photos in different formats and sizes you either need to find a way to properly archive them or your head is going to explode.
Was a close call but I avoided the latter.

Sounds psychedelic and a bit too brain-melting for my liking. I usually go for simple designs and clear forms. But since I really like when typography is used in design I was kinda ecstatic when I found this:

Now I want a wallpaper that uses up an amount of storage representable by a complex number.
Heh. I'm still using Windows ME on a old (but still running like new) computer I use solely as a word processor.
I only recently started using Windows 7 when I purchased a new computer earlier this year. It's pretty and all, but for the little stuff I do, it's not a vast improvement over Windows XP for me. In fact, dropping and dragging files can be quite tricky because it can easily snatch up files I don't want too.
Probably won't upgrade to Windows 8 unless my new computer dies or Windows 7 goes the way of no longer supported versions of Windows...
