MICROMACHINES

I used to collect them, but for the money, the quality of the Furuta/F-toys lines from Japan are 100% better. Check Ebay for Furuta or F-toys, (with the qualifier "trek") and be impressed. Theyre the only ones Ive found who did a Nova class (equinox) as well as many other trek ships.
Second! The recent F-TOYS release of STAR TREK are AWSOME! and the detail is STUNING! There in 1/2500 so there in scale to each other (except the ENT-D, it's 1/5000 scale) Just type in f-toys star trek and you should find a TON of them from one seller in New York who has FREE S&H!:techman: That's were I completed my set! Do your selves a favor and skip the Micro Machines! the F-Toys ones are FAR SUPERIOR!

Yeah, I got the Furuta Equinox, Prometheus, and Enterprise-D. I still have all my micromachines from Galoob with my favorite being the TOS 3-pack featuring the original Enterprise, Klingon battlecruiser (D7-class?), and the Romulan Bird of Prey and the TNG 3-pack with the Enterprise-D, the Klingon Vor'cha-class battlecruiser, and the Romulan D'deridex-class warbird.

But I think my favorite Trek micromachine is probably the Enterprise-B, oddly enough...

Ah yes, I remember those. I still have em too. The NCC-1701, B, D, D (Generations edition with removable saucer section), BoP, Galor x2, shuttle, Runabout, DS9 (unfortunately broken and thrown away, I think). I even have some of the B5 and SW ones. :)

I forgot to hunt this thread down at the time... but I srumbled upon the remains of my micro machines when visiting my mother.

Considering how many I had - thats not a huge amount :( The sensor pods gone missing from the Farragut but I know where it is. And the weird looking thing between the C and the Rommie BOP is the remains of the Pastuer and Rio Grande melded together.

I also had the two Romulan warbirds, the Vorcha and the Cube. I forgot about them until I saw Scorpio's picture. I really need to look for that Cube, it always reminded me of the Motherbox from DC Comics. :D

I wasn't aware though, that they released a Defiant, Reliant, or Nebula.

Btw, Scorpio, what's that blue ball thing? Borg Sphere?

Edit: Believe it or not, Memory Alpha has an article. I think we may have missed ALOT of them.

I had tons of these, used them for battles for my FASA turned Last Unicorn Star Trek RPG. Was so much fun to build little hex square bases for them and they added to all of the Dominion War scenarios with the help of some of the Furuta Designs!

Endless fun, my little girl loved to play with them too.

Glue?

Months ago and I just noticd the comment

I didn't glue them in case I found the other parts (which seems unlikely now as I've moved house so many times) but the pieces went together rather well - with a bit of encouragement and a knife.

I'm slightly amused at the thread bumpage as I unpacked the remains of my sets last night and now have them on display in the living room. And I'm tempted to search for more on eBay.

My son loves playing with my old STAR TREK micromachines...we have most of them. I am actually impressed with how good these little things look. I am holding my DS9 as I type this, and for being as small as it is, its pretty cool. To bad they didn't make DS9 to scale. Oh well..

The Defiant, which I am now holding, looks like a cookie. There even looks to be cream filling on either of the warp nacells....But I really like the Vor'cha class Klingon ship, the Romulan Warbirds, and the Cardassian ships too...and yes..the NCC-1701!!!

I wish they would re-issue these so I could get more. I will scour EBAY for some used ones...

I think these Micromachines were great, and its too bad they discontinued the line...

The micromachines are fantastic. Not only great toys and display pieces, but they are so beautiful and detailed, they make nice wargaming minis, too.

BTW, I regularly buy new minis from a guy on Ebay who continually designs and puts out new ships, built micromachine style.

Nash Shipyards. I recommend.

The big box-set with the first wave was a birthday present I still remember, to this day.

I got that set, too. Right now they are all in a Ziploc bag, though most of the stands are missing.

I must say they did a pretty good job on most of them, especially considering the size. I really liked how the saucer can be separated on the newer Enterprise-D Micro Machine (the one originally from the Generations set).

Ahh..the memories of those days, and this thread. My son plays with them nearly every day. I wish they would do my toy idea and just put out a bunch of pieces and parts that you could mix and match and make your own "star trek" themed ships with..

I recently bought the first limited edition set to replace most of my lost and chewed-on collection, and I hope to get the second and third ones. :techman:
Unfortunately I found that the Excelsior's saucer section is crooked, the Klingon BOP's right wing is twisted, and one of the stands is bent. :scream:

^ I had that with one of my BOP's too. Unfortunately it's the only BOP I have left :( The nacelle pylons in my E-D are also curved downwards. But the rest are perfect.

I think my E-B is my favourite of the lot.
