Michelle Dockery.....oh yeah!

EJA

Fleet Captain
I first noticed this talented young British actress some time ago in the movie adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Hogfather, where she played Susan (Death's daughter), and was distinctly impressed by her good looks. Yesterday, however, I chanced to enter the lounge whilst my parents were watching their new DVD of Downton Abbey, right in the middle of a sequence featuring Michelle in a very flattering 1900s era dress, and - WHOA!! I think she is amazingly sexy and sensual, does anyone else here like her? Hopefully someone will come along fairly shortly with some pictures of her. :)

Well, I liked her in Hogfather too, and yes, she's definitely attractive. I wouldn't turn her down if I were single and she offered, but, I don't think she's that great.

I was lucky enough to be working at a theatre when she was in Uncle Vanya in 2008, and I saw the play three times in about ten days. I was also lucky enough to see Neil Pearson, Ronald Pickup and Nicholas Le Prevost in the same play.

Hmmm, very Vulcan eye brows.

Or elfin, maybe we can lobby for her to be in the Hobbit.

She's kinda pretty. More likely she would be referred to as "a handsome woman".

Still, I always had a thing for Finola Hughes, another Brit actress.

Yes, please.

An added bonus to her presense in Downton Abbey is that in the episode I saw, she was wearing black satin elbow-length evening gloves, always a big plus in my book.

She is quite fetching in Downton Abbey, but the one who really gets my motor running is Jessica Brown-Findlay who plays Sybil.

Which one is she again? Think you could provide a picture for reference, please? (And one or two of Michelle would be nice too.)

I have to say, I think Elizabeth McGovern looks quite nice as Countess Cora. She has a very mature beauty.

Thumbs up, mainly for Susan. It's largely a self-possession and bearing thing, I think.

Sybil is the youngest Crawley daughter, the one who got hooked on radical politics by the Earl of Grantham's new driver and who pushed Gwen into finding work as a secretary.

The name sounded familiar and then I realized from where. My wife & I have been watching "Downton Abbey", wherein Dockery plays Lady Mary Crawley. She does a good job playing the aristocrat.
