Michael Jan Friedman

I really like Micheal Jan Friedman's novel Reunion and his Stargazer series. I liked Death in Winter.

I remember devouring Reunion all those years ago when it came out. And if you liked the Stargazer series, this is the one that introduced those characters, so I highly recommend it.

Favourites of mine are Double, Double, Starfleet: Year One, Reunion and the My Brother's Keeper trilogy.

Yo, MJF! What are you up to now?

He's easily my least favorite Trek author. I think he has a lot of good story ideas, but I really don't like his style at all. The only book by him that I did enjoy (and I've read almost all of them) was the novelization of the Next Gen finale "All Good Things...". It's better than the actual episode(s) IMO, with tons of great continuity and in-jokes. It was fantastic. :)
