Michael Gough, who is best known for playing trustworthy butler Alfred Pennyworth in Tim Burton's "Batman" films as well as "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin," has died. He was 94.

As a fan of Batman, Doctor Who and monster movies, this is a real sad moment for me. He did have a long life, though, and as far as I know, it was a rich one. May he rest in peace.

He was the last decent character in the Batman movies once JS took over. Rest in Peace, Michael Gough.

Rest in peace, good man. No more will we stay a while, and listen...

He also played Cain in the Diablo series of videogames. Not as prominent a role as Alfred, sure, but a memorable one. Very sad news. :(
