Among other roles, he was a better Kingpin than many gave him credit for at the time.......

I doubt anyone had a problem with his portrayal of the Kingpin, it was top notch like everything else he did.

I did not know he was ill, either..so this came as an sad surprise.
He seemed like a really nice guy, very down to earth and gave some very good performances on screen.
