I think my migraine bouts have messed with my head. I’ve been down lately.

Hugs........ Hope you get better.

I don't know if it's age or not but I don't find enjoyment now in a lot of things I used to a couple of years ago, just things that would make me super happy now just feel meh.

Sorry to hear that. They put my wife down in misery for days. I've heard that an inner ear piercing can help.

Has that been going on for a while?

Been feeling s.a.d symptoms
Seasonal affect sucks.

I'd beam you sunshine if I could. I'm over it here.

Is this a place where I can talk about my Fibromyalgia? There are things that I have with it that really affect me and the way I can and sometimes can't think straight? It is really getting frustrating sometimes to lose words or have fibro fog and not be able to think. So does this count for this thread? If not sorry, I won't post again.

So I am not in the health care profession, so I welcome the input of anyone who might be more qualified to speak to this. But just from what I've read about fibromyalgia just now on Wikipedia, I'm thinking a more appropriate fit might be the Diabetes & Chronic Issues thread? Note that the thread is a few years old at this point, and we generally frown on reviving threads like that, but in this particular instance I am OK if you want to revive it, if you think you might want to use it semi-regularly. Alternatively, you are more than welcome to create a new Chronic Issues thread instead.

I hope this is helpful.

Why do horror movies become less scary as I get older? Hopefully it’s not a sign that I’ve turned into a horrible human being.

I hope you all can forgive me if this seems snooty or offensive in some way, but is anyone else having a real problem with hearing the proliferation in Western society of The Kardashian dialect? It's showing up here a lot more in younger generations & it really grates my nerves. I'd describe it as a combination of arrogant apathetic entitlement, and ignorant Valley Girl, absolutely slathered in vocal fry.

I swear, I'd rather be made to hear Vanilla Ice & Fran Drescher's Nanny read duet beat poetry. OK, rant over. Again, so sorry.

Edit: In my defense, grating sounds just absolutely do me in, especially human sounds

My mental health is just really in the toilet now.

I was made redundant in May and since then I've been job hunting with little result. Of the hundreds of applications sent off, I've had only four interviews, of which all have said 'no thanks' and one pretty much said 'we must've interviewed you by accident, you're not suitable in the slightest'.

I'm 35 and have little to show for it - I'm still living at home with family, I can't drive, and really no practical skills. I did a worthless arts degree that opened no doors, and when I did retrain in HR Management and get a Masters in it, I didn't get a single job opportunity or interview due to not having any actual experience working in the field.

I did briefly perk up at the idea of studying to be a teacher, but I've realised that'll now be impossible for me. To get on any UK course, you need a GCSE in Maths at Grade C. Thanks to my dyscalculia, I'm not capable of getting anything higher than a D as I just can't understand numbers and how they work.

My family keep telling me how I'm so clever, but that's really not the case, and them saying it just reinforces how truly thick I really am. I'm the only one out of me, my siblings and cousins who doesn't own a house, a car, have a career instead of a job etc. Everywhere I turn, I've just got zero way out and I'm running out of hope.

The misspelling of easy words and use of very broken english is getting more and more common. I don't know why people are pushing such an uneducated sound in written and spoken speech

I talked to four different people on my bike ride today (all walking or riding horses), 2 of which I'd never even seen before, 1 I might have met before, but I'm not sure she was who I though she was, and 1 I'd only talked to 3 times before today. I think this is easily a record for me since I quit my job at Fry's. The fact that they all had horses definitely helped.
