Megan Fox is A Trekker

Aike

Commander
Red Shirt
The Transformers hottie Megan Fox is a trekker.

Megan Fox says that she was picked on at school and sometimes ate lunch hidden in a bathroom stall to avoid being "pelted with ketchup packets." "Everyone hated me, and I was a total outcast," she told 'CosmoGirl.' "I have a very aggressive personality, and girls didn't like me for that."

And these days? “I’m a 'Star Trek' fan. I’m a big nerd. I’m a big, giant comic book nerd.”
The quote above comes from a slideshow called "Sexy Self-Proclaimed Dorks" on Foxnews.com.

Rosario Dawson, too...

Rosario may be legit; the actress often speaks of her love for comics, and she actually has a comic book line. And a sci-fi webisode series.“Trekkies are like one of my favorite things,” Rosario says, “'Star Trek' is one of my favorite things in the world.”

I know this may sound overly cynical but... I call BS. Here is probably how it really is. Her publicist or whatever told her to say that so she would seem more appealing to the "nerd' and "geeK" young male population. In reality she has probably never seen Trek and has no idea of it's different incarnations.

She's never touched a comic book because she wouldn't want to get any ink on her fingers or precious nails. She only dates muscled biker types over 6 foot 7 that make the guys in 300 look "ok". Her publicist probably needed to sell 3000 more copies of Transformers 2 to get his all corporate paid trip to Cancun...

Ahhhhh! Feels good to shake off some of that cynicism in a silly rant.

Now, on the other hand lets assume it's all true, lets really try.

Much as I'd love to think that the two of them are fans, I have to concur with your line of thinking. My first thought on seeing this thread title was 'LIES!!!'

She is a beautiful looking young lady. First time i ever saw her (in Transformers 1) i commented on how, when she is onscreen you look at only her. If she is a Trek fan that's cool. I kinda doubt it, but if so, cool. Just, please god, (or JJ) don't put her in the next Trek movie!!!!!!!

She could very well be a Trek fan, but until she throws out an obscure reference or quotes a line, I won't be too impressed.... :)

So do I. Beautiful women simply don't like, or have the intelligence to enjoy Star Trek, which, is probably as much a stereotype as "All Star Trek fans are virgins", but it's much easier to believe (and far more likely).

This one is legit. I met her at a Heroes Con in Charlotte a few years ago, and she was geeking out like crazy!

I´ve read that Pamela Anderson and Jenna Jameson were Trek fans, too.

Also, I´ve found out that the quote in my op is from an interview she did with IGN in 2008:

Q: (Referring to her Star Wars t-shirt, complete with Darth Vader picture) Are you a Star Wars fan?

Fox: I'm a Star Wars fan. I'm a Star Trek fan. I'm a big nerd. I'm a big, giant comic book nerd.

:wtf: :cardie:  :scream: :klingon: :brickwall::mad::censored::mad::mad::mad::klingon::klingon::klingon::klingon:

Nice move. Thank you for offending all the female posters and calling us ugly. Jerk.

Oh yeah, and for maintaining that "beautiful women are stupid". You're really showing your intelligence here. :vulcan:

I was fixing to say. There are plenty of beautiful geek girls out there. You can find them at many, many cons, or see their pics on the interwebs.

This idea that beauty=dumb and geeks, men AND women, are all homely, is just a stereotype.

It's disappointing to see some of us who should know better falling for it.

Who says that female Star Trek fans can't be beautiful, or mostly attracted to very masculine guys?

That is one of the most absurd things I've ever read.

People, people, please.

Megan Fox calling herself a Star Trek fan, if calculated, shows it's in her interests to associate herself with geekiness, and if not, is sorta nice. And if calculated, it may then follow appearing in geek franchises beyond the Transformers brand might be a good idea.

Megan Fox in Star Trek II?

I certainly do not object to the idea. (Her and Rosario Dawson? Even better. Anyway, Mars Needs Women, Saldana alone doesn't cut it.)

Also, I'll believe all Star Trek fans are virgins far more readily than I'll believe beautiful women can't like it. Though I guess it then follows that the beautiful women who like Star Trek are virginal? Hm. Paradox!

Though seriously, rather nonsense idea.

I'm pretty sure RandyS just insulted me. However, he also outed himself as a virgin, so we're even. :)

Rosario Dawson is legit. 100% legit.

Megan Fox is nowhere near legit. Every geeky thing she references is completely contrived. There has even been a rumor about for a while that she plays WoW. Not impressed.
