Car Trouble

When the family car breaks down, Joe surprises Allison with an immaculate used car that they later find out was involved in a horrific, unsolved crime. Joe's new business partner, Meghan Doyle, makes Allison feel uneasy.

I gave it an above average mainly because of the really creepy haunted car stuff and the FX. I knew Meghan Doyle was a hussy! What do you want to bet she's going to go bunny boiler on Joe after he turns her down? What are the chances that she's a shady lady, eventually gets whacked and Joe gets blamed for her murder? And by the way, doesn't Joe seem just a bit naive about the business? He's always going, "What does that mean?" Okay, so he's an idea man but still.

^ Poor Joe. He doesn't have much of a clue about anything does he?

I admit it. I liked this one even though it ended up being a two parter. And I loved the spooky car! I had no idea where that part of the episode was going even if I did figure out the husband had done it rather quickly. Again, like CSI, it wasn't about who had done the deed it was how. And his how was quite smart. I would have never clued in on the tennis balls. But the best part was the ambiguous ending. Did the car do it? Was the wife that intent on revenge even after death? Did he do it to himself? Hmmmm....

My only quibble about the entire episode was the rather weird mish-mash of dreams. One minute she was freaked out about the car, the next it was about Joe. It made things a little schizophrenic. Hopefully we will get a nice pay off next week that will tie everything together. (And next week's looks good!)

I gave it an Above Average too. Again it was because of the spooky car!

I have this spooky feeling that Allison might get implicated in the husband's death. She drove the car to the house, left the keys in it... Maybe I'm paranoid, but...

Kinda annoyed by the continuation. Is it typical for this show to have so many two-parters?

I've given up rating the episodes. Every time I do, I change my mind ten minutes later.

I'm a little late but better late than never.

Great episode. I am definitely concerned about Joe as far as the business stuff goes. I don't like the fact that she owns more of his idea than he does. And I agree, she is NOT going to like being turned down, AT ALL. Women like that never do. She's probably not turned down very often so it'll fire her up more than it does others.

I loved the car stuff too. Pretty neat. The husband was a diabolical shit wasn't he?

Allison had a dream about Joe being seduced by his business partner. A little later she got back into the demon car and it made her take it back home. She saw what happened after she arrived at the former owner's house and she couldn't get it to restart so she left her keys in the ignition and ran off. Lee picked her up and he suggested he go pick the SUV up so that he could investigate the way the man set up the murder - he put a gun against a poster of a man holding a gun and attached a string to the trigger on one of those tennis balls people use to sometimes tell them when to stop in a garage. When Lee arrived he found the man dead. The car had been left on. Meanwhile, the final scenes - while Allison is talking to Scanlon - show Joe in his office when his business partner arrives back from a date to tell him the good news. It stops there. This was a reshoot of Allison's dream but stopped right before the news.
