Partners in Crime

FBI profiler agent Edward Cooper (Kurtwood Smith) returns to Phoenix and tries to convince Allison that he is back in town to find a serial killer. However, her dreams tell a different story. Meanwhile, Joe presents his invention to venture capitalist Meghan Doyle (Kelly Preston), who strikes up a professional and personal connection with Joe, testing the DuBois marriage even more.

Man, where is everybody?

I feel rather at a disadvantage for this one, being relatively new to the show and not knowing Agent Cooper from before. I figured out about halfway through that he was misdirecting her even in his death, but I thought he had her going after another killer who'd gotten away from him at some previous time, trying to pin him for these crimes & serve justice that way. So, I was a little off, but not by too much.

Joe is going to end up regretting ever sticking his neck out if he can't stick to his decisions after a martini and a talk with an attractive female. I like Joe, but I think he's letting his desperation drive him to do some less-than-wise things.

I watch Medium and enjoy the show in how it is really a family drama with supernatural elements but I don't usually post because it isn't one of those shows for me that lends itself to a lot of analysis.

But I gave this one an Above Average.

I have been under the weather the last couple of days but I did manage to watch last night even if I didn't get a chance to post a comment here.

I thought it was Above Average. I just get such a kick out of Cooper and I didn't catch on to what he was doing. But even in death the man is a jack ass. I really didn't like what he said to Allison there at the end. (I love that he may come back though. :bolian:)

As for Joe, having worked as an artist for much of my adult life I can relate to his having moments of desperation. You do what you have to. And to him this is also about the survival of his family. And even with the core family dynamic changing dramatically over the last thirty years, men have never been able to give up the notion that it is their responsibility to protect and care for the family. All Joe wants is a chance to feel useful again in that capacity. But who knows. This all might still work out for him but he should have talked with Allison first.

Oh, I understand the emotions and drive involved. I just think the decisions he's making as a result are not wise ones and are likely to hurt him in the end. :(

I gave the episode an average because I was so annoyed with Agent Cooper's death. I mean he knows there's someone in his darkened room then turns his back when there's a knock on the door. I didn't buy it. At all. OTOH, a vigilante ghost is an interesting idea. Did anyone else get the impression he may materialize again?

I think Joe has made a huge mistake and his partner is eventually going to hit on him. Oh, teh drama!
