Signed up just to post some art stuff here, so I figured I'd get right into it.

Firstly, while I may have parted ways over... Let's say ideological differences, for a time I was a rather enthusiastic participant of Sayle's Starfleet Design Bureau, for which I produced a number of models (shown in in-setting chronological order):

Some Assorted vaguely SDB-adjacent things:

Proposed upgrade for the Sharks to modernize the things for a newer (taller) warp core. and add a shuttlebay for a bit more multirole ability, because Starfleet.

For Scale, the main saucer is four decks thick and a full kilometer in diameter---this thing is a gigantic station by the standards of the day, even if a San Francisco makes it look positively quaint.

I like some of those Vulcan designs, they're pretty unique! I especially like the vertical Furious Wind class, it reminds me vaguely of a sunfish.

FYI, if you weren't aware, nobody in the UK can see Imgur anymore due to very recent legal issues and changes. They're a sizeable portion of our membership, so you might want to keep that in mind in the future.

FYI, if you weren't aware, nobody in the UK can see Imgur anymore due to very recent legal issues and changes. They're a sizeable portion of our membership, so you might want to keep that in mind in the future.

That's truly unfortunate, as there aren't a lot of good options for photo hosting that don't cost money, or open you up to corporate fekery, or worse both, these days; though I'd be open to suggestions. That aren't Deviantart or Flikr, since both of those have TOS that let them do whatever they want with stuff you put on their site without asking, let alone paying you a penny, for it.
Anyway, literally just finished this:

Part of the fun of running a design quest is that it's a great way to guide a ship development.

Starting to block out spaces:

(Deck 1 isn't technically finished, as I need to add the ladders down to deck 2. after that there are actual stairs for when the turbolifts are out, rather than ladders.)
but yeah. Officer country, ha.
Cabins are actually pretty okay---they're not a Galaxy's three-bedroom apartment, but hey, for the 2170's they're pretty spacious, and they've got actual windows, unlike most of the enlisted.
And yes, we don't forget the bathrooms.
