Mea Culpa. Please explain

Linking to stories is fine and happens a lot in this forum. While we're at it, I neglected to mention that the spamming rule is not in effect in the Fan Fiction section where stories are concerned. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Goodness me! I'll be up for sainthood next! Friends I am deeply touched that you have vouched for me here and hope that I will never cause you to regret it.

One reaps what they sow and you have always been helpful to fanfiction authors. Besides, my co-author and I owe you one. A short time after we had to move our website due to the geocities closing, I was delightfully surprised to run across a generous plug you gave to our new website. I'm not sure if I ever did thank you, but it was greatly appreciated! :)

Warmest Wishes,

HFO Personal Logs 2

Your remark about Mary Sue not looking any prettier made me wonder whether ther are any fan fics with illustrations, you know, like the old Sherlock Holmes stories and the like. That would be an area where e-book formats/pdfs are superior to posting one's story on a message board or fanfiction.net (though in case of the former one could also post images but it's probably more laborious).
Its funny you should mention that...

Issuu

TrekUnited Publishing has just released our second issue of Personal Logs, a Trekzine that tries to re-interpret the fanzines of the '80s and '90s in the digital age. I've purposely kept all internal illustrations black & white to reinforce the idea that this is a facsimile of a pulp digest in the vein of Analog. I think the balance we have achieved between title art and story has shown both in their best light.

If there's no objections I might split off a seperate thread for this to get comment and review that will passed on to the artists and authors.

Graphic Novels, etc

Just before I get back to work getting our next release ready for Monday, could I ask one more thing? Would this be the right forum to discuss graphic novels and fotonovels? If you think the fan art forum might be a better place, that's ok.

The graphic element does tend to overpower the reader's attention and the focus of a forum such as this should rightly concentrate on prose. I might open a general discussion thread on "writing for graphic novels" though because I feel that the producers of graphic novels could gain a lot from the input of prose authors and readers in general.

Hm, good question. I guess it can go in either of the two fora. Personally, I'd see it more as Fan Art but it's ok in here, too.
